Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Personal Data (as defined below) and other information collected while you are using or inquiring about PUCHO website (“PUCHO”, “we“, “us“, or “our“) products and services, including, without limitation software, software as a service (“SaaS”), hardware, equipment and professional services (collectively, the “Services“) or interacting with our Applications and/or the Mobile Application – “PUCHO” (the “Applications“) or other domains and subdomains belonging to PUCHO. As you use or inquire about the Applications and Services, we want to be clear about the Personal Data we collect and how we use that Personal Data. The download of our PUCHO application and use of the same is free for the user.

This Privacy Policy explains: (1) What Personal Data and other information we collect; (2) How we use the Personal Data and other information; (3) How we share the Personal Data and other information; and (4) Your choices regarding our use of your Personal Data and other information.

Who we are

The brand “PUCHO: scan – authenticate – buy” is owned by Urban Pendu Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 having its office at No.8/2, Ground Floor, Bren Optimus, Dr. M. H. Marigowda Road, Dairy Colony, Adugodi, Bengaluru, Karnataka – 560 029.

Collection of Personal Data

Personal Data is information that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you, e.g., your name, phone number, location, or Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. We may need to collect and process Personal Data in order to provide requested information, provide products or services to you (including the Applications) and/or because we are legally required to do so. Personal Data may be requested from you as part of the Applications registration process. This process requests that you provide your name, business phone number, and location (only while scanning a product), and agree to the Terms of Use.  We may also collect Personal Data when you respond to a survey, inquire about our Services, contact us for customer care or technical support, and utilize our cloud-based services (e.g., when collecting or processing information via one of our SaaS offerings). Your information helps us to better respond to your individual interests and needs.

In some circumstances, PUCHO may receive Personal Data from social media platforms. For example, if you elect to use your social media credentials to log-in to your Applications account, certain Personal Data from your social media account will be shared with us, which may include Personal Data that is part of your social media profile.

PUCHO may collect Personal Data voluntarily provided by you, including in emails to the Applications, online forms, registration forms, surveys, promotion participation, phone calls and online chats with customer service or technical support and through other means.

PUCHO collects information through various other means, including participation at conferences and events, individual introductions, from employers that use our Services, and from selected third-party business partners. From time to time, we may also acquire from third-parties certain lists containing the names and contact information of individuals who may be interested in our Services.

We use Personal Data for legitimate business purposes, including the following:

Fulfillment of Requests: 

We may use Personal Data about you to deliver Services to you, provide you with information about Services you may have ordered and/or provide you with customer service or technical support. We will engage in these activities to manage our contractual relationship with you and/or to comply with a legal obligation.

Other Communications

From time to time, we may use Personal Data about you to inform you of products, programs, services and promotions that we believe may be of interest to you.


We may on occasion operate sweepstakes, contests and similar promotions (collectively, “Promotions“). If you choose to enter a Promotion, we typically ask you for certain Personal Data when you enter and, if applicable, win a Promotion. You should carefully review the rules of each Promotion in which you participate, as they may contain additional important information about our use of Personal Data about you. To the extent that the terms and conditions of such rules concerning the treatment of your Personal Data conflict with this Privacy Policy, the terms and conditions of such rules shall control. We use this information to operate the Promotions.

Other Business Purposes: 

We may also use Personal Data about you for other business purposes, such as data analysis (for example, to improve the efficiency of Services), editorial and feedback purposes, providing customer service or technical support, customizing and improving the content and layout of the Applications, completing business transactions, development of marketing and promotion plans and materials, statistical analysis of user behaviour (for example, to understand what parts of the Applications are of most interest to users), product development, market research, administering individual accounts, and meeting regulatory requirements.  We may also use Personal Data of journalist/media contacts for press release distribution or sharing other newsworthy developments related to our business activities. We engage in these activities to manage our contractual relationship with you, to comply with a legal obligation and/or because we have a legitimate interest.

Administrative Communications: 

We reserve the right to use Personal Data to send you important information regarding the Applications, Services, your account status, changes to the Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy, or any other policies, agreements or transactions relevant to your use of the Applications and/or Services. Because this information may be important to your use of the Applications, and/or Services, you may not opt-out of receiving such communications. We will engage in this activity to manage our contractual relationship with you and/or to comply with a legal obligation.


We may use your Personal Data to consider you for employment when you apply for a position with us or submit a resume to us.

Other than Administrative Communications or those emails that are necessary to provide you with the Services you have requested or purchased, all of our email communications include the ability to opt-out from receiving future emails.

Note that the Applications is intended for individual consumers.  To the extent you are providing contact information, please provide your personal contact information.


Other Data and Information we collect

In general, you can use and visit our Applications and Services without submitting any Personal Data.  However, in order to utilize and access certain features on our Applications and Services, you will need to submit your Personal Data.

Certain areas of our Applications, including our Contact, may ask you for additional information. This may include partner business opportunities, resumes, and/or other comprehensive information about you.

When you visit or interact with our Applications and Services, we or our third-party service providers may also use cookies and other types of web technologies to collect technical and usage information such as browsing history, domain name, IP address, browser type, date and time of each visit, and pages that your web browser has visited. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information in order to collect technical and usage information such as browsing history, domain name, IP address, browser type, date and time of each visit, the pages you visit, and other technical and usage information.

We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits and to compile aggregate data about Applications traffic and Applications and Services interaction so that we can offer better Applications and Services experiences and tools in the future.

However, it’s important to remember that our Applications and Services may not function properly if you set your browser to reject cookies.

We may use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of the Applications. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit our Applications, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to our Applications. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Applications. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit our Applications, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit our Applications, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to our Applications is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.

We may also use other third-party service providers to track our visitors. Most browsers also allow you to turn on a feature commonly referred to as “Do Not Track” so that Applicationss and service providers will not track your behavior over time and across Applicationss. We do not combine the information collected through the use of any third-party service providers with personally identifiable information.


If you leave a comment on the Applications you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and Applications in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for 1 (one) year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for 2 (two) days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 (one) day.

Embedded content from other Applicationss
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other Applicationss behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other Applications.

These Applicationss may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that Applications.


Our Applications and Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (thirteen) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under the age of 13 (thirteen), please stop using our Applications and Services. It is our policy not to knowingly solicit or permit children under the age of 13 (thirteen) to provide their Personal Data for any purpose.

What rights you have over your data
You can request that we erase any Personal Data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How You Can Access, Change or Suppress Your Personal Data

If you would like to request to review, correct, update, suppress, delete or otherwise limit our use of your Personal Data that has been previously provided to us, you may make a request by contacting us at We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Data associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable and consistent with applicable law. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting the change or deletion. There may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed.

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we decide to materially change our Privacy Policy, we will post a notice of those changes on the Applications.

Our Applications and Services may contain links to other sites such as social networks and links to our business partners. Please be aware that we do not endorse and are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites and the Privacy Policy presented here does not apply to such sites.
